Carter Colia

Carter Colia was born and raised in the heart of the Rockies, and later moved to the liver of the San Juans. Here he joined forces with the pickin’est posse of stringed instrument fondlers (and piano key ticklers) on the Western Slope. Influenced by the jazz greats, the funk legends, and rock royalty, Colia brings a jazz ear, tasty rhythms, pocket grooves, and high energy to the melting pot of genres that Liver Down the River embodies. Never a big coffee drinker, Colia starts each day with an immaculate acapella rendition of Rupert Holmes’ “The Piña Colada Song.”
